In episode 75, I interviewed Sharon Forman (@MahopacMath) and Margaret Fox (@mahopacfox), two amazing educators who just happen to be two of my favorite teachers from when I was a student in middle school. We discussed connecting with students, what it takes to continue to have a growth mindset even towards the end of your career, and of course, what I was like as a student.

Episode 160 of the Leader of Learning Podcast features an interview with Miriam Plotinsky (@MirPloMCPS), a national board certified teacher, instructional specialist with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, and the author of the book, “Lead Like a Teacher.” In the episode, Miriam discusses nine key aspects of leadership, how to stop teachers and their leaders from becoming adversaries, and how school leaders can lead more effectively by actively listening to teachers and welcoming their expertise.

In episode 67, I interviewed Jorge Valenzuela (@JorgeDoesPBL), author of multiple books including the recent ISTE publication, “Rev Up Robotics”, a consultant with Lifelong Learning Defined, LLC, and a member of the Teach Better Speakers Network. We discussed how to “rev up” instruction including backward design, project-based learning, and STEM instruction.
