I am passionate about showing teachers, parents, and students that they can use technology and social media to make a difference in the world. Topics I talk and write about include Digital Leadership, Digital Wellness, Technology-enabled Learning.

I am a wife, mom, and a Teacher-Librarian, and a former Literacy Consultant. I recently achieved a Masters in Education and Digital Technologies from Ontario Tech University with a specialization in social media, digital citizenship and education. I am a Google Certified Innovator and Trainer, an Ontario Google Educator group leader, a former executive member of the International Society Technology and Education (ISTE) Librarian PLN, a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator and the co-founder of the Global Student Chat. I was humbled to be the 2020 recipient for the ISTE Digital Citizenship PLN Award.

I am also the author of the books, Social LEADia: Moving Students from Digital Citizenship to Digital Leadership, Raising Digital Leaders: Practical Advice for Families Navigating Today’s Technology, and co-author of the children’s book, Aubrey Bright in Stories that Connect Us. I have had the privilege of being an international keynote speaker who has spoken to audiences from 4 to 2000. I am passionate about showing teachers, students, and parents how technology and social media can be used to make the world a better place.
